Brian Hallberg
Junior Apprentice Coach
I used to train for the scoreboard.
Now, I train for something deeper.
I grew up a three-sport athlete in Minnesota and played basketball in college — competition was the only lens I had for fitness. But when that phase ended, I found myself in limbo. I had no reason to train, and no clear direction for what strength was supposed to look like anymore. That changed in 2016, when I became a seasonal big game hunting guide in the mountains of northern Alaska. Fifty days at a time, carrying everything you need, with no backup — it requires a different level of fitness. One you earn. One you carry forward. That’s when I found functional training. It started with kettlebells, and over time, it became something more — structure, rhythm, purpose. I now hold two kettlebell certifications and coach with the same tools that rebuilt my own path forward. At Findlay Movement, I fell in love with the holistic coaching model and the power of group connection. Here, we don’t just train to perform — we train to live well. If you’re looking for coaching that meets you where you are, with practical tools that work — I’m here for that.See you on the floor.
