Happy New Year Findlay Movement Family!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season full of rest, loved ones, and a little space to breathe before stepping into 2026. This past year has been one of profound loss and grief for our community. Losing our founder and leader, Patrick, challenged our identity and reshaped our day-to-day lives. But it also revealed something unshakeable: the depth of connection this place creates.
Patrick, for all his intimidating strength and larger-than-life presence, built Findlay Movement on love, love for people, for movement, for growth, and for the Long Game. And when we lost him, that foundation didn’t disappear. It showed up in the way you all showed up for each other. I watched strangers become friends, acquaintances become each other’s go-to support systems, and this community step into the gap with a level of compassion and loyalty that was nothing short of extraordinary.
It has been the honor of my career to help shepherd this place through the past six months. And when Sarah approached Sergio and me about continuing the mission, about carrying the torch forward, it was one of the easiest yeses we’ve ever given. Findlay Movement isn’t just a gym for us. It’s a living, breathing community that has held us, challenged us, and shaped us just as much as we hope we’ve shaped it.
Acknowledging the Past
Patrick and Sarah were foundational to FMFC: its vision, its values, its culture, and its spirit. They built a space where people felt safe enough to grow and strong enough to try. Their leadership created the environment we all walk into every day. One of belonging, curiosity, and grit.
Sarah carried the weight of this transition with a deep devotion and commitment to this community, and her determination to preserve Patrick’s legacy are the reasons we are all still here today. Her trust in us, entrusting something so deeply personal and meaningful, remains a responsibility we hold with immense gratitude and care.
Findlay Movement exists because they built it with intention, heart, and an unwavering belief in people’s potential. We will honor that in everything we do.
Carrying the Torch Forward
As we step into this next chapter, Sergio and I want to assure you that the essence of Findlay Movement isn’t changing, it’s deepening.
We will continue to honor the ethos of FMFC by providing excellent, personalized coaching to every member and initiate who walks through our doors. We remain dedicated to teaching the foundations of health and fitness, not as trends or quick fixes, but as sustainable practices that support a lifetime of movement and vitality.
Our focus moving forward is rebuilding with intention: strengthening our systems, supporting and developing our coaching staff, and ensuring our space remains inclusive, safe, and deeply community-driven. The Long Game wasn’t just Patrick’s mantra, it has become our guiding principle for how we lead, coach, and grow this place.
Most importantly, we will continue showing up for you with the same energy you have shown for one another: consistently, wholeheartedly, and with the belief that what we are building together truly matters.
A Note of Gratitude & Call to Action
Thank you for trusting us with your fitness, your time, and your presence. Your resilience, kindness, and steady support have carried Findlay Movement through one of its most difficult seasons. You’ve reminded us, every single day, that this place is far more than a gym. It’s a home built by the people in it.
As we move into 2026, we invite you to stay engaged. Celebrate your wins. Ask questions. Share your feedback. Welcome new faces. Keep showing up for yourself and for each other, even when it feels hard.
This community has always been strongest when we move forward together. Sergio and I are honored to lead with you as we rebuild and continue the mission. The Long Game is still alive here, because of all of you, and we cannot wait to see what we build next.
